Zjamil Elias Coowar
A native of Mauritius with an international background, Zjamil counts over 18 years in Brand Enhancement, Service Strategy, HR Transformation, Change Management, Capacity Building, Learning & Development, Business Process Improvement & Sustainability. He occupied senior positions in luxury Hospitality before launching his private practice EXISTERE Consulting – (www.existereconsulting.com).
Rapidly expanding in the Indian Ocean (Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar), Africa (Kenya, Algeria, Cameroon, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania), Middle East (Qatar, Abu Dhabi), Asia (Malaysia, Thailand)–wherein he has introduced new wave approaches in HR, Leadership Development & Talent Management, Guest experience, Patient Centricity, Service and Brand Strategies embedding Sustainability Issues befitting the local cultural patrimoine.
He runs innovative bespoke training/facilitation programs at all levels to develop internal capabilities towards establishing Regional Training/Leadership Academy.

Often solicited as industry expert to conduct talks with University students, acting a Jury or Career Counsel, Zjamil holds a MASTERS OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION from the Graduate School of Business, UNIVERSITY OF CAPE TOWN, South Africa and a BACHELOR’S DEGREE in HR & Management from AUSTRALIA. He is a Registered Trainer in MANAGEMENT with the MAURITIUS QUALIFICATIONS AUTHORITY for the last 13 years as well as a Licensed Coach from the UK (CORPORATE COACH U). As a CERTIFIED QUALITY MANAGER from the INDIAN INSTITUTE OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT, Zjamil has a real passion for Process Improvement initiatives and Projects.
He also advises on Sustainability and Environmental Management Systems in National Committees in Mauritius and has represented The Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Mauritius (AHRIM) in a number of National Committees.
